Back in the day GSPP students spammed each other with news stories, personal causes, complaints and every other kind of unsolicited message you can imagine. Although the “reply to all” feature on e-mail works well in a business environment where it’s important to keep everybody on the same page AND create a paper trail, the result at GSPP was unmanageable Inboxes, e-mail accounts that maxed out, and uncomfortable exchanges read by students, faculty, and staff.
The discussions on this blog probably have nothing to do with politics, black robes, or stolen lunches. However, our tagline refers to the blog’s humble beginnings when conversations about politics, whether or not to rent the insanely expensive graduation gowns, and how to deal with disappearing lunches (from the GSPP student fridge) filled student Inboxes and caused quite a stir.
A quick shout-out to Laura Wisland (’08) for coining the name “Rhoda’s Kids” and to Nathan Kuder (also ’08) for his embarrassingly good MS Paint skills.
